Hi, I'm Eric Medlin. As a resident, small business owner, and Independent candidate for Las Vegas City Mayor, my journey is deeply rooted in the heart of our vibrant city. My commitment to public service is driven by my firsthand experiences with the challenges our community faces, particularly in the realms of Homelessness, Affordable House, Education, and Neighborhood Infrastructure
I specialize in problem solving. I served in the United States Army, as well as worked in Information Technology for over 27 years. In both fields problem solving is what we do. We walk into a problem, blind, assess it, and fix it... quickly.
I'm not a politician. Politicians create the problems that need to be fixed. I'm a problem solver. I fix things so we dont need to fix them again. What I bring to the City of Las Vegas is an analytical and common sense approach to the job of Mayor.
I am committed to making Las Vegas a city where everyone has the opportunity to thrive. Together, we can address our most pressing challenges and build a brighter future for all residents.
Seniors, Veterans and people with disabilities need affordable housing. Most are on fixed incomes and are being priced out of the rental markets. I will work with state and local officials to develop incentives for landlords to lower the cost of their rental units. This will go a long way to solving part of the homeless crisis.
Housing affordability is at the core of my campaign. As someone who understands the struggle of being on a fixed income, I am dedicated to increasing affordable housing options for seniors, veterans, and people with disabilities. My plan involves working closely with state and local officials to develop incentives for landlords to lower rental costs, addressing a critical aspect of the homeless crisis that touches too many lives in our community.
Education is another pillar of my campaign. We need to revamp the entire education system in Clark County. If we start from ground zero with a whole new way of teaching in Clark County we wouldn’t be any worse than we are now.
I advocate for a complete overhaul of the Clark County education system. Starting from the ground up, we need innovative teaching methods and investments in local public education to ensure our children's future success. This bold step is necessary to lift our education standards to new heights.
Equally important is the need for neighborhood infrastructure improvements. I envision a collaborative approach, partnering with residents and local businesses to promote equitable investment and support neighborhood-specific projects. By incentivizing improvements, we can revitalize aging infrastructure and foster a stronger, more connected community.
I would work with residents and local businesses to provide incentives to help them with improving neighborhoods.
Day one in office, I will get rid of those ridiculous pointless cones.
